Do to a human need to classify things, we might call this avant-pop. L CON's adventurous catalog may include orchestral pop, electropop and improvised synth loops. adamsethk thumbnail Ned Norland thumbnail Duncan M thumbnail Eric Rumble thumbnail Andrew T thumbnail emi_esoterica thumbnail Mike Smith thumbnail Matthew Fava thumbnail Diamondstein thumbnail vncntvdr thumbnail gak thumbnail Mark Griffin thumbnail FuzzyLogic thumbnail Felver thumbnail fridap thumbnail ben taaffe thumbnail heraclitus_akimbo thumbnail Darcie Clark thumbnail dunceoligarch thumbnail katlikesyourmusic thumbnail weichezaeune thumbnail Tim Richardson thumbnail π³πΎπ²π¬π thumbnail ahansgen thumbnail andretente thumbnail craxton thumbnail courtneyparks thumbnail adji_bam thumbnail illini1973 thumbnail Jay Behel thumbnail colinbdclark thumbnail LeeRose thumbnail bryarlistens thumbnail tinennui thumbnail oldecory thumbnail gharp thumbnail

about Reaching across the Atlantic to the lofty mountain ranges of her Swiss heritage, Lisa Conway (aka L CON) began to write and record "The Isolator" during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. Composing music for the German production of a theatrical play remotely from her studio in Guelph, Canada and navigating a calendar otherwise wiped blank, she sought to anchor herself and hone her piano chops by enrolling in online lessons. Encouraged by her teacher to lean into what felt comfortable, Conway found herself repeating short sequences on the piano when it occurred to her to pursue a record that would allow her to exist in her comforts.
